SHAWARMA HUNT

Yes, yes, yes I finally did the Shawarma Hunt with My brother (really appreciate him for this)💓. Well this post will be updated whenever I try a new Shawarma spot, so don't forget to check in!

THE MISSION: To find the best Shawarma spots in Las Gidi !

1st Spot📍

Going straight to it ——> we were attended to nicely, the space is quite calm, they tried with the aesthetics🙂, pretty decent decor. The Ambience was pretty decent they were showing “osuofia in London” so I was just laughing while waiting for the shawarma.

What did we get?

Mixed shawarma (chicken&beef) #2000

First pause I just want to burst your brain this shawarma has no sausage in it😂😂😂😂I was just laughing in my head and I asked the lady “so with sausage how much?” Aunty told me “ extra N400” .

You know when alarm starts blowing in your head, that’s clearly what happened, I started reasoning the healthy benefits of sausage😩😩I had to pass on the sausage😒 How can they collect almost a pack of sausage price from me for just one sausage🤦🏽‍♀️😩?? My Igboness will definitely not allow that🙄🤷🏽‍♀️

The shawarma didn’t take time max:15mins and it was ready.

I’m used to weighty shawarma (Ebeano caused it🙃) This shawarma had no weight , maybe cause I didn’t add sausage but okay....

You know when they hand you the shawarma in the nylon you can you feel the heat, but no! No heat whatsoever, so I gave them the benefit of doubt maybe cause of the extra papers they used to wrap it, and then got settled in the car took the first bite, this thing was in between cold and warm😩😩😩I was tired, I said what??? For the price I paid?

I didn’t get sausage,and now it’s not hot🤯🤯.

Well my brother felt there was too much black pepper , and said it was cold warm as well, at least I know there is nothing wrong with me.

I drove to the next stop in disappointment😩😒🙄Never going back there 🤷🏽‍♀️.

2nd stop 📍

MILANO Pizza & Fast Food “Delicious, Hot and Fresh”

MILANO has my heart 😩💓

When I got there, I was already interested as it was a nice looking Italian or maybe Lebanese young man that took my order 🤷🏽‍♀️. He gave me the download of the shawarma price and I decided to get a Mixed Shawarma Large N1700. You can see the whole process as it’s displayed right in front of you.

TIP: if you are an impulsive buyer, just keep your eye straight and head focused at the shawarma they’re making for you because if you just manage to look right you will be sooo tempted to buy Glover court suya, so Aunty, Uncle, maintain and watch the process of your shawarma, which I did 😂😂

Tried staying in their waiting or little sitting room but mehn was I about suffocate😩

They gave me the shawarma and In my mind I was like “yasssssss, this should be the weight of a shawarma” This shawarma came with sausage oh💃🏽💃🏽and extra sausage is just “N200” SMH to the previous shawarma spot🙄🙄izz only God that will judge sha 🤷🏽‍♀️

The heat that I could feel from the nylon and obviously in my head “thazz what I’m talking about”😩

Settle down in the car and took a bite.

Okay let me stop with my razzness but it was too good, I really wish I found this spot earlier🤷🏽‍♀️ I was really happy, it was hot spicy but I asked for it🤷🏽‍♀️and yes i refused to buy water for more than N100😒.

3rd Spot 📍

The Harvest shawarma ....

“This was certainly a wrap not shawarma” .

Y’all know how joyous I was over their “EATALIAN Burger”  So I had so much hope for this “shawarma” I give The Harvest major credits for their ambience👌🏽It is so lively that it already puts you in a good mood, I mean, what more? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤗

What did we get?🤔

CHICKEN SHAWARMA “Chicken wrap served toasted with garlic sauce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and spices with a side of fries” N2500.

As I’m writing this review just know I’m not too happy cause I didn’t get my “side of fries”😩 (just re-read the content) is it because I did takeaway ?? 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ sigh 😔

The shawarma most likely weighed less than shawarma&co, which was very sad and took so long to get ready😒maybe cause the place was almost filled up .

Opened the shawarma and my brother said “ Jesus, what’s this ?” I was amazed😂😂, it was just green and red everywhere (tomatoes and pickles)

Question in my head:

Juanita what have you entered ? 😩

At least it was hot🤷🏽‍♀️🙂

It lacked flavour and spices😩it was only the ketchup that was the saving grace 😇( Never been so happy to see ketchup in my life😂) I was actually sad while eating it but I guess you try new things everyday🤷🏽‍♀️.

Should I go back and ask for my fries? Or is it too late ?
