When I saw sticks and grills on Instagram I don’t know why I kept on thinking of “alté food vibes” (please allow me to think what I want to think😒) so the first time I went to sticks and grills I got the:

BBQ CHICKEN WINGs (N2000) and Corn on the Cob (N750) which took 25mins to get ready,which was fair🤷🏽‍♀️ you could go to severe nature to check out their stall and all , so you won’t really feel the wait 😌. 💫BBQ CHICKEN WINGS There were 9pcs actually let me say that again 9 juicy pieces They were succulent and well marinated, tender and “off the bone”. But...they were heavy with salt, i couldn’t even take more than two, I think it was not just my luck but apart from that it was good could even compete with food shack wings (on a low) 🤔. 💫Corn On the Cob This is not Nigerian Corn which made me really not appreciate it, To be honest I was confused the marinate was not rubbed evenly on it, I didn’t enjoy it 😩😩 . So while waiting for my food, I was moved to get a drink so I decided to get Chapman, was still contemplating on whether to get it as it was N1000 but oh well that’s how the lady brought out the Chapman and it was JUST SMOOV, I couldn’t believe it 😩SMOOV? A whole one thousand naira that’s super super profit but oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️.(There is God🙏🏾) Ratings: BBQ chicken wings: 5/10 (Naa the salt really killed the wings, without it probably a solid 7.5) Corn on the cob: please I won’t just rate it cause I didn’t understand it but from what I ate 3/10 .

It was 10/10 , so cute and aesthetic 😍Ahn ahn please have you been anywhere they give you “instant hand sanitizing wipes” ?? Don’t lie to yourself 😪 Their packaging 🙌🏽🙌🏽💯.

TAKE TWO

So after my first time i was like naa, there has to be more to sticks and grills and I was hoping for a better experience as the first one wasn’t all that fantastic (mehn that salt 😩) but i’mma Lah it fam. So I decided to give it a second try and at the time I wanted to try it they were having a holiday special ( Id el Kabir which was for Tuesday and wednesday✨) Ahh lucky me 🤷🏽‍♀️!!! so I decided to get the American Platter which costs N4500 but originally cost N6000,saving N1500, Abeg isn’t my God too good 🤗.

The platter is made so much sense for the price I got it, because if you go to a restaurant no names, the burger and fries would have been N4500 but still all the things added now, BEST DEAL ever!! (Even for the N6000 it still made sense ) welll....

The platter includes: • Lamb Chops • A spicy beef burger or grilled chicken

• Honey glazed turkey wings

• With two sides of your choice.

So I went with the spicy burger and for my two sides, I chose sweet potatoe fries and French fries. BALANCE 💯.

The lady that was answering through the dms was so nice, polite and professional 💯 Gave her the time I wanted it ready (1pm) but it was me that now even came late by 2pm to pick up the food 😩 and it’s pick up only !!

Sticks and Grills packaging toh bad🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. when I got it I was like Ahn ahn this is too good 👌🏽They didn’t sha give me “instant hand sanitizing wipes again” 😪 P.S: By the time you’re reading this the Holiday Special is over 😘

LAMB CHOPS

This one gave me quite a tough time, To be honest I don’t think anyone fancies meat that you have to keep on chewing and chewing and chewing before you’re able to swallow it and that was what I got “ it wasn’t tender, or juicy or you know know “off the bone type” it was quite a struggle 🙃.

On the plus side, The is quantity was👌🏽 you could get like 5-6 lamb chops from the pack and It was well marinated ✅ This was one of my least favorite thing from the platter 🤷🏽‍♀️

TURKEY WINGS💥

Wow! Wow! I was shocked and shooked! 🤯😳When I picked it up from the plate they looked like they had been treated nicely, Decide to take a bite “Oh God!” *licks fingers* The whole spices entered inside *licks lips* The body was marinated beautifully, It was tender, no need to struggle from side to side😩. This was by far one of my favorite things from the platter, and I really really enjoyed it ☺️.

Rating: 8/10

THE BURGER 🍔

This burger was pretty decent second best thing in the platter 🤪The beef patty was really nice, well spiced and seasoned. I think one thing that sticks and grills really do well is in their spicing, seasoning and marinating 👏🏽🙌🏽✨ It didn’t have cheese in it 😩 ( leave me and my fat self please🙄😒😩). There are no tomatoes in it *bonus point ✅* I really dislike raw tomatoes just blanced inside the burger no flavor 😒 turn off for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ I really just wished the burger was juicier it felt a bit dry🙃 but still decent 👌🏾.

So yeah thazz it listened to Alteé cruise by Zamir, odunsi the engine and Santi while eating it, gave it some extra vibe yunno 😉😏😏😏.
